DMC Presents Molto Veloce Tuning Package for Lamborghini Murcielago

The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 may be the new kid on the block, but Duesseldorf-based tuning house DMC has set its eyes on the Murcielago with the presentation of the Molto Veloce styling and performance package.

As the name suggests, the kit is inspired by the Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce or SV for short. On the outside, the package adds a new front bumper, a large and somewhat awkwardly looking rear wing and a restyled rear bumper that houses a diffuser, with all parts made in carbon fibre.

Top Gear: Former Employee Claims Pro Drivers do Clarkson’s Stunts, BBC Rejects Allegations

Some say it is the world’s most famous car show, with millions of viewers worldwide and that, despite having three presenters, plus the man in white known as The Stig, 51-year old Jeremy Clarkson is the undisputed star of the show. All we know is that it's called Top Gear and it has run on BBC for 17 seasons so far.

And as one of the most popular and long-running TV shows in the world, Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson often make headlines, but not for the reasons one would expect.

Now, British tabloid Daily Mail has put up a story claiming that Clarkson’s stunts are not always performed by him, but by professional racing drivers. The newspaper cites two unnamed sources, one of which is said to have worked for Top Gear for more than five years.

Would You or Wouldn’t You: Fiero-Based Lamborghini Diablo Replica with BMW V12 Power

If a Fiero-based Ferrari replica is a “Fierrari”, then I figure its Lamborghini equivalent must be a “Lambieroghini”. Here’s one such monstrosity for sale on eBay, though on closer inspection there’s a lot to like about it.

For one, though it’s incomplete, much of the grunt work has already been done. The unpainted fibreglass body that replicates the Diablo VT 6.0's styling has been mated to the tubular steel frame and the gas door struts, power window motors and headlights have all been installed.

Also, the brake rotors are from a Corvette and the wheels are genuine 2004 Lamborghini Murciélago 18-inch stock clad in Pirelli P-Zero rubber.

Go-Fast Porsche Cayman Driver Smacks Ferrari 360 at Supercar Gathering in Malaysia

A couple of mishaps involving private supercars marked this past weekend’s 2011 SuperGT race at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

The first incident occurred on the tarmac during a parade of sports and super cars when an overly enthusiastic but sloppy driver of a winged Porsche Cayman rear-ended a Ferrari 360 as it slowed down in front of the crowd. The red Ferrari then bumped into a silver Ferrari California that was in front of it. You’ll have to jump 52 seconds into the first video to see the very expensive fender benders.

The second mishap took place outside the track as the supercars were leaving. It involved a kitted-out Lamborghini Murcielago and a BMW M5. An eyewitness told Jalopnik that he saw the Murcielago and an BMW M5 chasing each other before the crash. You can see what happened to the Lambo in the video after the break.

From Poland with Love: Arrinera Supercar Revealed in the Flesh [with Video]

It has been three years since we first told you about a new supercar venture from Poland (see here). Many had expressed doubts as to whether the newly formed company, then named Veno Automotive, could pull it off and create the country’s first supercar model. Fast forward to today, and the Polish company, which is now called Arrinera Automotive, presented the first real-life prototype of its yet to be named supercar model.

While to a lesser degree than what the original sketches from 2008 implied, the prototype Arrinera features an edgy styling and certain details like the shape of the headlamps and front air vents that are all very similar to Lamborghini’s Murcielago / Reventon series.

Gumball Racer Turns Lamborghini Murcielago into an Amphicar…

When you are driving in remote areas in foreign countries, you never know what the road ahead is going to throw at you. In the case of Jon Olsson, a Swedish skier with a knack for superfast and exotic vehicles, what lied ahead at a border crossing between Greece and Turkey during the Gumball 3000 was more like a riverbed than a road…

Despite the fact that Olsson’s Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce (or SV for short) wasn’t exactly designed for these kind of road conditions, the Swede accepted the challenge and successfully passed the water crossing without any problems.
