Honda City Ivtec - King of Small Sedans

I have been driving a Honda small sedan for three years. Honestly, so far I have never had serious problems with this car. My general impression about this light sedan is that this car offers some advantages such as fuel efficiency, nice design, advanced engine technology, and value for money.

Now, I am thinking of buying 2009 all new Honda City to replace my current car. However, I face a very serious problem with my plan. The price of 2009 all new Honda city increases sharply. It is almost US$ 8,000 higher. Wow, it is really amazing. If I notice the price of its competitor, 2009 Toyota Vios, 2009 all new Honda City seems unbelievable. Below is just a short review of 2009 All new Honda City.

Completed with a totally new exterior style and some elements of the stylish Accord, the 2009 model is completely different from the previous generation. The new version of exterior gives impression that all forces end at the front side and the streamline design looks like "arrow".

The new engine, which is also same as the one used by the new Honda Jazz, is equipped with i-VTEC technology which provides excellent performance and flexibility without sacrificing fuel economy or emission factor. The new engine gives the Honda City 100PS, 17 PS increase over the previous model. This powerful engine can achieve 0-100 km/h in just 11.8 seconds for the manual version while the automatic version hits 100 in 14.7 seconds.

Taffeta White Honda City

About 2 months ago, Honda Malaysia has launched the 3rd generation of Honda City. It is among one of the best-selling model in this country and no wonder, the launching of this car has been very much anticipated by many. Previously, the original colors available for this model are available in Alabaster Silver, Polished Metal, Crystal Black Pearl, Deep Lapis Blue Metallic and Bold Beige Metallic. However, with the new line up, Honda Malaysia has taken the move to remove Blue and Beige color which is rather odd. All this while, they have been using the Deep Lapis Blue Metallic to promote as well as for their advertisement.

However, Honda Malaysia seems to be making the right move to introduce the Taffeta White in the new line of Honda City. So far, customers are raving for it. Out of 36 000 units sold since its launching, 40% out of that number is for the new colour. Before this, the Taffeta White colour is only available for the fully imported Honda Jazz. Some customers are even willing to pay more to get the colour. Now, Honda Malaysia is slowly implementing this new colour scheme on their CKD models such as Civic, CRV and City being their latest recipient. So, some of you may be wondering what is the fuss with the new Honda City? Well, there seems to be no difference in the specification of the two trim levels that are the Grade S and Grade E with the same OTR price.

Besides that, you can also hop to Camp5 at 1 Utama shopping centre. Honda Malaysia has held a month long rock climbing competition in conjunction with their launching of the new Honda City in Taffeta White.

New Honda City Car Specifications And Features

Honda City is a subcompact sedan produced by Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda. The product is in production from 1981 till present date, the production was discontinued in-between in 1994 and 1996. Currently, Honda SIEL Cars India Limited has launched new Honda City variant in 2010, October. It is the third-generation car that woos the Indian customer with lots of changes both in interior and exterior of this new variant, invariably an increased price tag of 46 thousand rupees. The new variant is embedded with additional features like leather steering wheel cover, leather seats, and body colored mud flaps, chrome door sash molding, and chrome trunk garnish and is currently available only with petrol variants, with manual and automatic transmissions. Honda is planning to release diesel variant in near future. With a modest price range between 8.00 lacs and 10.50 lacs.

Honda City is powered by 1497 cc, i-VTED, 1.5L, 16 valve, 4 cylinder petrol engine that assures to deliver maximum power of 118 PS at 6600 rpm and 146 Nm maximum torque at 4800 rpm with 5.3 m minimum turning radius. Fuel tank has the capacity of 42 liters, with drum type rear breaks and disc type front breaks. Honda City length, width and height are 4395 mm, 1695 mm and 1470 mm respectively. The available colors are - Tafoca White, Urban Titanium Metallic, Deep Sapphire Blue, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Bold Beige Metallic, Polished Metal Metallic and Habanaro Red Pearl.

Honda City 2010: A Review of the Latest Model

My cousin bought a new Honda City 2010 just recently and I was given the opportunity to drive it. Here I will share with you my findings about the car and help you decide whether it is a good buy. At $22,000, the 2010 Honda City is the 3rd generation of this sedan model that is supposedly for the yuppies who live in urban areas. On the outside, the front design makes it look like an Autobot from Transformers. Inside, it has a very stylish elegance that reminds someone of a cool lounge.

Engine

This car is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that may come in manual or automatic transmission. It boasts of the new generation of i-VTEC engines that ensures fuel economy. It can give a maximum torque of 146Nm at 4800 rpm. The engines were also designed to reduce emission levels that may harm the environment.

Design

Surely, I would say that this car has the killer looks. For sure, everyone will give you, or your car, a second look when you pass by. Although this is longer and wider than its predecessor, it provides much more space and comfort. As opposed to many sedans, this car can provide luxurious space to five individuals without feeling cramped

Safety and Handling

This car is loaded with many safety features such as the anti-locking brake system. It also has a brake assist system and it is equipped with dual SRS airbags plus a crush-proof survival zone. Engineered at its best, this car provides effortless driving with its 5-speed automatic transmission. The car responds swiftly with a stress-free acceleration technology that allows you to drive smoothly in different types of terrains. It has front and rear shock absorbers that make the driving very comfortable.
